CLIMATE

Living in the Taiga is cold and during the winter it is severe cold with only snowfall. The temperature in the Taiga forest biome during the winter can range from as low as -65 degreees farenheit to the highest being 30 degrees farenheit. On the other hand during the summer the temperature can range from 20 degrees farenheit to 70 degrees farenheit.

Most of the sunlight that the Taiga biome recieves throughout the year is during the summer and the sunlight is not constant. The amount of sunlight that the ecosystem recieves affects many plants and trees because they can't survive the harsh conditions or the extreme cold weather during the winter. Many of the species that live in this ecosystem become predators and start to hunt herbivores. The total average precipitation of the Taiga is 12 to 33 inches a year of rainfall and also snow. Most of the rain falls during the summer. The soil beneath the taiga often contains "permafrost" which is a layer of permanently frozen soil. The soil has very few nutrients. The taiga's ground is actually wet and spongy. This might affect organisms because if the ground wasn't wet many organism  will extinct due to the fact that they will not have water.
